Hi, i have made a Single layered PCB for DCT4 Flasher according to scematics at www.id2.cz . Please give it a look and tell me if it has any probs. and also tell me if this is ok.
i know this PCB is little non-matured, but to make it on single layer i had to use some jumpers (the yellow line), the tracks are 40mil and the pads are 62mil. i know i could have decreased the track width but i have one person who makes pcb for less but he cannot tacle small tracks. (sharpness).
If any of u finds this PCB helpful, then do mail me or pm me and i will mail u the sized PCB design.
i will be using the hex from www.id2.cz, if any one has better one, then do mail me

Tested by me itself,,,,

i am also attaching all the hex files i have for DCT4 flasher dongle.
NOTE: None of them have been tested by me,, but tested by others and succefull.
But they are sure all for DCT4 FLASHER dongle.
plz c i u could also share some working hex.

due to some demand, i am also posting the pcb file and s/w to open this file here it self.
The filename is
dct4876.pcb -> pcb file for flasher dongle for PIC16F876
dct4.pcb -> pcb file for flasher dongle for PIC16F877
PFW.exe -> Advanced PCB Design, Protel Design System 2.5
U need to register this s/w, i have provided the serial no. and the activation codes in the file serial.txt.
file size 973 Kb.

please post back ur comments

Your project PCB includes error , casing should be type page PIC16F876 DIP28(S) , not DIP28.

sorry, i dont know difference between DIP28 and DIP28(s)
Please clarify....

DIP28S (shrink) as wide as DIP14/16/18/20
DIP28 is wider (like DIP40).
Also, this work was done before. Its very unpleasant work to fit all tracks in one side, giving very scary looking PCB, but its possbile to make it at home.
Look on attachment.

Is there any similarities between the one in the webpage and the one of this picture --> dct4pcb_876.jpg ???? They seem a lot different...

I have one question: all the line that goes to cable/adapter is connected electricaly diretly to the phone/battery or need an level/adapter between? Because I have an mbus/fbus cable for my 8310 and want to use/adapt this.

Hi SFlood!
I have some questions to your Schematic/PCB.
1. in your schematic you use 100 Ohm resistors, on the Schematic from www.id2.cz they use 180. You also use a 10k Ohm resistor (R2) and www.id2.cz use a 2K2.
Why these differences in your schematic?
2. Why your PCB have place for two 1N4004 diodes when we only need ONE? (Second must be shorted)
Thanks :-)

hi,,
i have tested and verified the pcb i have attached in earlier post. it is working a-one with id2.cz hex and scematics. The only prob with it is i had made the pcb for DIP28, where the PIC16F876 is DIP(s), so i just used a convertor for that. nothing else required.
Next project "Terminator"

@nonu_don:
Can you please remake a pcb with corrected dip28?
One other question: the signal that goes to the phone must be connected directly to the phone pins? ( here I think for the levels: I have 8310...)
Thanks

On the schema there was TX, BSI, RX, ... signals, that must be connected to the phone. I can connect directly or I need a level adapter? (If you have the 8310 connector adapter, is inside that a level adapter?)
Sorry for my english...

Its not important. You can use any res from 100 to 500 Ohm as 100 Ohm
and 2.2k-33k as 10k resistor. This is a digital scheme, so resistors
nominals are not exactly fixed.

It was for testing purposes. Two diodes gives too low voltage to
phone. One - little higher than needed, but acceptable.
Also, use little radiator on 7805 - it becomes hot while flashing.

you could use this to, don't know if it works
havent been able to test the flasher i made from this pcb yet..
will test is as soon as i get the pic

I think damjang means an RS232 chip when he refers to a level converter. you cant use your data cable on this flasher, you must cut the plug off and wire the head directly into a 9-way plug.
Dave.

Yes I means something like this, but then I find the scheme for the cable on the id2.cz page. For my 8310 is only wirings with 2 pull-down resistor on bsi and temp battery line.

what is Btemp for on the phone connector ? =/
my pcb don't include +4,5 v out
and the Btemp
will it still work, does the phone have to get power from the flasher if it's gona work ? =/
i was thinking of using my old cables from my nk-flash from ucables to save some money and use the original phone battery
tnx

Btemp = Not connected (optional)
Yes, u can use the flasher with the phone with the battery and just connecting the 5 data wires to the clip.,, ie gnd, vcc, rx, tx, mbus
but, 1 thing i didnt got, how r u gonna use ur old cables in making of dct4 flasher dongle.
Naman
if i want to buy a dct-4 flasher instead of build one (it looks too hard) then where is the cheapest place to buy in uk ?
i say it for £50 at gsmdirect.com is this a good deal or can i get somewhere else for less ?
cheers

thanks for reply,
i have found out what's the program it use.
it use Protel for Windows - Schematic Capture Binary File Version 1.2 - 2.0.
