Some Help Required 3350 + XP

Hi.. I'm rather new to the flashing scene (Uhh.. that would be Nokia Flashing and not IRL -.-') and I've got windows XP. It's giving me a few problems here and there...

I've pretty much got the flashing down .. But I'm wondering how can I modify the ringtones etc in my phone. I want those special effect ringtones but i don't think FLASHTONE 2.10 supports my 3350 fls. Does anyone out there have a newer version of flashtone, or tell me why I can't use flashtone on my 3350? If it is not possible, is there alternate software that enables me to use special effect ringtones on my 3350?

Using PPMEdit 1.0A, I can see my ringtones with short names, but the long names are not displayed.

Just curios, what is the maximum ringtone length? I noticed that some of them have rather long lengths.. and I'm wondering what the max for each tone is.


My last question for now is, where can i get those special effect tones? I'd like to flash them in, but no idea where to get 'em from... If anyone can help I'd be really grateful.




Last note... If i ever get all this to work, I'll put up all the files I used and step by step instructions on my site.... for other n00bs like myself. So if any of you want any utilities hosted, just let me knoe :)

At the moment, I am using Knok2k3 and XPMobile to flash my files...

PPMEdit 1.0A to edit my tones (looking for alternate software though)

I'm still trying to figure out the FAID part... any help given would be great :)

Just found out by the .RE format for ringtones... Does anyone have any cool chinese / english RE's they'd like to share with me? ^^;

Not quite sure what you're talking about here but, for flashing in 2000/XP you need a program called userport! As for the special ringtones??? I don't get it! What's so special? Do you mean polyphonic? Well if so, the 3350 doesn't use them! U can upload ringtones using logomanager and edit them from there as well!

Yeah XPMobile supports winXP w/o userport so thats all cool :)
