Im having problems tryin to get this up and running. I want to be able to download files while im away from my PC, i thought i could do this by having access to an email address on my 7650 and just downloadin the relevant file onto my PC.

Iv setup and address with Orange. When i access it from the PC i have no problems, but when i try and do it from my phone i get error messages saying that im givin the wrong login/password.

Iv setup an account with Yahoo. I can access it from m phone, but it will only display that message which iv written. I cant find an option to view or download the file which i attached.

Im curious to know if anyone on here can help. What email account do you lot use on your phone to download attached files? Did you have to make any adjustments to the access points?

I dont want to phone the Orange Helpline because they'r tryin to charge me 50p a minute!!

As far as I know there are only certain file types that can trigger downloads in the wml browser. I could be wrong. If you want to download mail attatchments you should use the messaging application and set up a pop or imap mailbox from there.

if you haven't got one checkout freeola or someone like that. Or use ur current domain mail or isp mail. Most will require that you dial-up using their modem to send. Although there was freemail.gr opition which I saw in a post on here and I think that this will work from any connection.

You would have to set up a new access point for either. Unless you already access the internet from ur pc via ur fone using BT or IR. If so then just create an access point with the same name as this. eg internet instead of wap.xxxx.xxx.

If you use ur dial up just create a dial-up access point using ur isp details.

You'll then be able to pick up attatchments from ur mail and view them on ur 7650.

You should email orange and see if their mail supports pop/imap/smtp. Vodafone (inc.vizzavi) has done for years and so have cellnet (genie now o2) . So I'm guessing that orange would follow suit shortly if not already.

Zero.
