If its under warranty, upgrade is free with authorized service centers.

well, P500 is too much for just an additional color palette. :) what are the advantages of the newer version anyway? any cheaper than P500?

If you want to upgrade to add more palette then refrain from using the 4.39 philippine pack, 33 to 35 I suppose, becoz extended pallete won't work on these language packs...

I beg to disagree with regards to the color palette not working on version 4.39. I have it installed on mine.

Other version of the color palette really do not work but the one I tried did.

Is palette extension the only things added to the v4.46? Isn' there anything new that will make 7650s work better?

I agree with altis7650. my 7650 has the v4.39 and the palette extension works. But I did not use any palette extender.
What I did was that I edited a file (100058ec.ini)

added this one line to the last line of the file:

ColPals=0 1 2 3 4 5


Some said that this does not work, but mine did.

If your version 4.39, try using the attached file and have the file overwrite the one in c:\system\Shareddata

(just remove the .zip file extension It should just be 100058ec.ini when overwriting)

Didint u guys tested the new version???............................. put ur phone on a stable surface and try stepping on it very hard!............................the new version i.e. 4.39 will move away before u can step on it!..............................if it will not move then u havent tried the new version.....................................enjoy!

I have been stressing the word PHILIPPINE PACK of 4.39 specifically 33 to 35(NHL21043.933 to NHL21043.935)... This is based on my experience...

I have tried several pack (if you want to have red pallete without the extender, use NHL21043.969) but with philippine pack the extented pallete says " ...your mobile phone doesn't support...":)

there are 3 palette extender roaming the net.... the one that should be use is the beta3 that has an option to "what to try it" on it.... tested on version4.39 with tagalog language... working...
