i want to change the ccont of my 8210, because i get 'insert sim card' messages and the battery only lasts a day. But the Nokia repair manual says i have to recalibrate my phone with WinTesla. Is this necessary? What kind of cable do i need for WinTesla. Will a data or flash cable do fine?

Regards,
Willem

if the fones can 'read' sim card and sometime can not 'read', you may check the 5 pin legs locate near of sim pads on pcb.

for replacing ccont, is not necessary to recalibrate if ccont version are the same. different ccont version (higher version from origin) sometime doesnt need recalibrate at all.

for recalibrate i think is written in manual how to recalibrate

good luck

Calibration is very important procedure after changing ccont , because the NEW ccont has no values stores in it 4 charging voltage and etc .., So u have to do calibration , if u do not do calibration ccont will not work more than 2 or three days ... , and problem will not stop ...,

To do calibration u need
1. service batterty
2. power supply
3. mbus cable
4. wintesla service software

if u ask HOW .... check wintesla help file ...

i have everything except the service battery. Is there a way to make your own service battery. Do i need a dongle or something for WinTesla?
