Problem with 8250!

I have an 8210 which I converted into an 8250!
My 8250 now has intermittent screen loss, I have been told this can be repaired by buying a new elastomer, so I have ordered one up!
The problem I have is that I don't think this will fix the problem as the screen only goes dead on certain menus and when it is warm!
I have tried flashing new software to it but this didn't affect the problem!

nah it aint the lcd mate. the same thing happened to me when i upgraded my 8210 with a certain 8250 flash file. try reflashing back to an 8210 and ur problem will probably go away.

After that it was the screen, I replaced it and the screen worked fine,
