i have just bought a data cable with different extentions for different phones. The problem is that the computer does not pick up the data cables when i try to use a unlock program. the cables supposedly switch between mbus and fbus automatically I use windows xp on a laptop and have no idea how to configure the system if that is the problem. I have also tried to use a friends laptop who also uses xp but neither computer picks up the cables
please help/advice
cheers

Ok wht the error is coming tell me complete whts wrong with the cabel
and who you think will release dct4 imei change solution?
please note you will never just have just a software solution to imei change in dct4, extra voltage needs to be apllied when trying to write OTP area of IMEI data if you wish to break protection.
Original NMP uses jbv-1 jig connected to external psu..
b-phreaks will not release dct4 imei sol.
jic is same

i will use the example of the software nokia tool by rollis. When i connect the cables to my computer when i click on clear sp lock it says failed to initialise local mode. Then when i click on interface auto setup i searches the all four ports but says that no connection is found. Similar results are found when i use other programs

hi,
My 8210 got an error message "phone ram is bad" whenever i try to flash my phones. I just realize the problem just after i've put it in ultrasonic cleaner & reflowed using rework station. I've try to flashed it with different program like dejan flasher, rolis 4.78 etc. but same message appears.
Pls help

i think you have problem at flash ic, cos of reflow..

what are these and where are they located on the 8210 and the 3310?
cheerz
IC = Integrated Chip (Integrated Circuit..)
Nokia phones contain a few ASIC's (Aplication Specific Integrated Chip), basically chips Nokia have made that do a certain function (or number of functions).
CCONT IC is the power controlling IC
CCOBA IC is the audio codec, a/d-d/a converter..
HAGAR is the RF (Radio Frequency) IC
also you have the MAD IC which is the CPU of your phone
and you have CHAPS IC which is charging control.
in older phones such as 5110 thiat is PLUSSA IC
this is all DCT3. DCT4 has different IC such as UEM, UPP.... :)
where are they?
just open the phone :)
any small black squares on the board are your ASICs
apart from one which is the Flash IC, for 8210 that is 16MB flash and 2MB sram storage chip.
hth :)
