View Full Version : Windows Longhorn & N7650...
So...just want to say that, if anybody want's to try new OS that everything works fine...with this...
Windows Longhorn build 4008,
Bluetooth MSI Transceving Key,
Nokia 7650 (v3.16),
Nokia 7650 PC Suite v1.2,

Every soft works fine, just like in XP Pro...

Well this is going to be its real name as microsoft says and no longhorn is not the same as xp the build currently leaked on the web is an PRE ALPHA release build 4008 and longhorn are to be relased some time in 2004 so there is still a lot of work to be done, however there are a lot of changes most of them are not yet functional but it seems as this is going to be a major os update as it happened with xp when it was released
As for the ugly part i find it more nice looking than xp and the skinning is more complete (even on right click menus) but again this is a personal opinion

I wonder if what's the approximate size of the longhorn installer you have been using which is "stable" in your pc?...Have seen in p2p but it's a whooping 424219kb and the other is 255179kb. Which is which?..:(
I would be grateful if you can provide me an ftp site at
[email protected]
Thanx in advance...

KodeX the current build ( which is 4008 ) is neither stable or fast plus it doesnt work with some drivers at all (for example : nvidia and promise),now our friend saky is probably excited and thats why he says its very stable
Longhorn is not yet ready to be installed by its own on a computer (after all its only a PRE ALPHA release with half of the things not working and its boot times are extremely long as well as the os speed is way slower compared to xp)

Thanx for the nfo...;)
I personally haven't tested it yet but the Longhorn Alpha Preview 2: Build 4008 at http://www.winsupersite.com/reviews/longhorn_4008.asp seems "enticing"...
But as what Paul Thurrott said "But don't get your hopes up with this early alpha release. There just isn't a lot there yet."

Well guys its quite obvious that a pre alpha release its not even quite near to the final version of the product but just for educational reasons (not to mention showing off) its worth the trying just dont expect too much (not yet at least)
