you can call 211 or 730-1000 to ask globe to activate both. they will then send you a confirmation sms. call now

i used to work as a customer service rep for both SMART and GLOBE........more problems and complains with GLOBE.

at least its a healthy sign that the market is booming... as to the question of which is better really depends on the capacity of the person/subs to comprehend the whole scenario. Technically, I go with SMART.

I'm using Smart, though the service is great...how I wish I could use Globe since the "webbrowsing" using the phone is still "FREE" in some sense... kaya lang walang signal ang Globe sa place ko...:(

i think what he means is smart is starting to decommisioned smart analog.... and rite now those 9.4 million subs is all accounted for active gsm users only. we are not trying to make globe user to switch to smart we just want to tell you guys the features that smart have and fyi based on machine and system used by any other subcriber we can say that we are ahead of 1 year. based on benchmarking done abroad and here in the philippines.

Globe has hidden charges with their plans such as a foreign currency adjustment charge and a few more while Smart plans are all inclusive. Also, only WAP is free GPRS is not.

guys, as i said in another thread, i am a globe subscriber, but until now, my mms is not working despite many attempts at telling the customer svc.!!!!!!!!!! They're deaf you know.
if i want to send mms to my friends, i txt them to switch to a smart sim, wait 2 minutes and then will send them mms message.
thats how i use my 3650 phone. if only i could pre-terminate my contract with globe without incurring charges, my unit is mine, not bought from them. anybody who can help me get out of the globe contract. any ideas?
i must admit, it is the stupidest thing i have done, next to being a an ortho surgeon.:) :(
when it comes to mms out of the box, hands down on smart.
globe is not even a kilometer close. my PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
being a globe subscriber, and a smart prepaid owner.

just an opinion:

Maybe the customer service representatives are already informed by their bosses to just entertain your request and do nothing, maybe they already stopped activating gprs as to limit the use of their system to the time it will be for Full Implementation of system (not free anymore).

Suggestion:

Why not proceed to their Wireless Center(branch offices usually @ the malls) personally and let them hear you Scream ( I want my GPRS Activated!!!)

Conclusion:

Both Network (Smart and Globe) has its own Strength and Weaknessess

but what do u think is the reason why Smart Communications has the biggest Market share in GSM? 60+% of GSM Market of Smart as compared to 30+% to that of Globe Communications and 10+% remaining for the other GSM Providers...

1. SMART MONEY - Yes, a lot! I dont carry much cash nowadays- much better than credit cards! As long as the Mastercard logo is displayed in an establishment, I can use my SmartMoney. This is real e-commerce at work!

2. PURE TXT - Good for people with tight budget- studes, domestic helps, daily wagers...

3. ZED - Whoah! Lots of stuff here! RingTones, Logos, News, Infos... etc.

4. 64K SUPER SIM - Yes, my SIM is a 64KSSIM! It is SmartMoney+ZED+HiCapacitySim- all rolled into one!
