Hi.
I'm no expert on the 3650, but that's why I came here.
What I want to know is:
Is it possible to make a program that allows you to recieve TV-signals on your phone?
If so;
Programmers, get busy! :D
actual television signals, i doubt it.
a) the 3650 dosent have a tv/cable antenna
b) if it was online, the kilo/megabytes used to stream tv chans would be ridiculous. take example the videocodec.sys you can use to dload news clips rite now. some of those files are 1mb+ big.
c) i dont think the 3650 has enuf "processing power" to run a tv emulator or something related.
just my two cents

Hmm... Thouht so. :(
But isn't it possible to use the phone's built-in antenna somehow?
And BTW, I didn't mean really good quality TV, but just something...
What about radio? :D
(No, I'm not giving up!)

Well, try to use Real One player then... There are a lot of TV and radio stations that have real video/audio streams.
Hope this helps...

Well what I think is cellular phones only uses the 8xxmhz to 9xxmhz frequency band which little tv stations are located in that band. Perhaps the phone does not have the proper hardware to receive it too. Imagine the about of battery power it will consume too if it is possible ! :)

I wouldn't be so sure its not possible. Maybe a third party could make a hardware accessory?
Remember, the Sega Game Gear had the TV Tuner YEARS ago!
...you could watch tv on sega gamegears? I dont remember that :\

Humm, here's some clip via internet TV:
http://www.aradio.co.uk/tv.html
And to all that are participating in this thread: Maybe it would be better to check the previous posts first?
We tried to make a real server on his machine and connect the phone to it via bluetooth, but athe the end, failed.
Maybe if it's made by Nokia, there is a chance, but not by anyone else.

Hi,
I'm the guy who runs the http://www.aradio.co.uk website. I'm no Nokia expert but I know what I did on webshow. They're uploaded for http streaming, not using a dedicated streaming server, maybe that affected your results.
And the shows are encoded at 37kbps for 56kbps connections. I could get you shows encoded in both Real Media and Windows Media formats at lower bitrates.
This may not help, but I thought I'd try.

Lol, talk about coinsidence. I found your site, cause all of the televisions in Slovenia have Windows Media Video streams (which I doubt our series60 phones will ever support).
So I searched in google for "real tv streaming"
http://www.google.com/search?q=real+tv+streaming&sourceid=opera&num=100&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
...and your site was the first one in the list.
Funny though - it isn't the first one in the list if you search for "real streaming tv"...
Anyway, 37kbps would probably suffice, since GPRS has 42.
Will definetly take a look at your episodes during the weekend though :}.
May the SymbianForceOS be with you,

Its possible. You can watch TV on your 7650 or 3650. I'm in Turkey and my GSM operator did it. Now we can watch TV channels and video clips with Real One Player. Its name is MobileVizyon. MobilVizyon is a service that enables viewing live or pre-recorded videos on the cellular phone, with sound.
With MobilVizyon you can watch CNN Turk live, and keep yourself informed about the traffic on the Istanbul Bosphorus Bridge and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge. Coming soon, the traffic conditions of other important spots of Istanbul and crossroads of Ankara and Izmir.
You will be first to know economical and political news from the World and Turkey live with CNN Turk. You have an easy access to the trailers of the films playing or coming soon, and many entertaining stuff with MobilVizyon.
In order to be able to use MobilVizyon service, first you should have mobile phone which is convenient for video streaming, and then you should install PV Player software to this phone on which also MobilVizyon connection settings should be adjusted.

Seeing as you people will probably know this, I thought I'd ask here.
I'm the guy who runs www.aradio.co.uk with the streaming shows, and all this talk about the ability to watch them on phones has got me interested.
What would I have to do to make my site availible for phone users? Is it something to do with setting up a wap site, and if so how would I link in the shows?
Maybe this it aiming a littl too high for a little old website like mine, but you've got to try I guess.
Cheers

n3o2501: Go to mobile.rtvslo.si (WAP adress). U can stream live TV1. And some other shit is there(pinkpanter :)). And RTVSLO broadcast everything in Realmedia format.
BTW widowsmedia format is much better.
