anyone help me please...
one of my friend told me that i can change the fonts of my 7650,and he gave me a file named: ????.gdr and told me to create a folder in c:\system and name it FONTS then paste this file in it.

after i did so, i can't boot up the phone! everytime i start the phone,the nokia logo comes up & fades away again then the phone turns off!!!!

i tried FLASHING my mobile 2 times,but still the problem remains
so i am confused...what shall i do?????

Hi,

this crash because of fonts is not the first post.

Your friend was not a good man. Say it to him, such manipulating at the system of the phone can be deadly.

That the reflashing was not successfully, is clear, cause the phone boots always with this mistake.

You must delete your own folder and file(s). Try all, to do this.

I've had this problem too before. I was stupid :( You can't delete the folder or the file because you can't even get the phone to start! The only way I could fix it was to send it to the Nokia Care Centre, and then they gave me a new one! :D So it was all good in the end.

Hi, I will try it.

Switch the phone on and if you get a white background type your pin code in - you dont need the special type-in box. Than press the left softkey for "ok" and perhaps you get the desktop. Than start your filemanager and delete the folder.

by the way ,is there any software that can flash or delete the applications stored in drive c: by the cable or any other mean?

Hi,

to delete software that is installed by a routine (SIS or JAVA) you can reinstall it by the normal way. You know it.

But all manuall installations (by a filemanager) you must delete it by the same again, too.

same thing hapenned with me.... i took it to the nokia care center... they re-formatted the phone..... i didnt know what was the reason... it just "HAPENNED" ...

yes they gave me a whole new phone, new imei the whole new deal! it was great! maybe i'll do it again sometime soon.. hehehe Honestly yes they did give me a new one.. cool huh?

i tried every thing u told me but actually i cant remove any file or even gain access to my desktop....

so i took it to nokia store, and he told me to wait for 4 days then we will call u!!!!

is the warranty void if they find out about the programs installed?in drbeezo's case,will the service center findo out about the installed softwares and void the warranty as well?

YES! Finally i got my phone back in full workin order, they couldnt fix it so they gave me a new 1!!! Worth the wait I suppose, 1 month and 1 week. lol

thanx for advice , but here in the philippines they do evrything, even the dead can rise:(
