need some help with Dir_IMEI please

im trying to change imei number on r220.

program say

Open test.exe
set the corect settings , press d/l and choose your phone model from test folder.
after it done press o.k and press exit (no any otherr button)

and run my software (phone still is in TEST Mode) and enter 15 digits imei and press "Change IMEI"...

when he say phone still is in test mode. what he meant ?

i tried it few times , always getting error . phone not conected , phone not in test mode.
anyone can help ?

first im use coma data cable , is that o.k ?or here is my prob ? :)
now , if thats o.k phone should be turn on ? or off ? with sim or without ?

once you use the first bit of software that puts the phone into test mode he means DO NOT touch the phone at all. now open the second software and enter your desired imei and press "change imei" now wait for the program to finish and thats it mate.

this is what i do.... but.... the first program dont get the phone into test mode...

is it for use with com data cable ?
or do i need a flash box ? i did search all over but couldnt find anything about it.

Check you cable connection to the phone
Yes you need to use COM Port
Also check whether COM1 or COM2
You can change the com port on The Line Setting Option

all set corect ... i can reset security code and unlock the phone with the cable...

there are many settings there other then the com port ... should it be anything specific ?

Baud Rate: 38400
How long does the download take you?
If everything is normal, it should not take more than 1 min.
If it does, phone (or cable) might be faulty.

and it still give me error after 35% of imei changing

Your phone is faulty. Hardware problem.

this is the deal
i got 2 data cables , 1 com other one s usb.
cant get the usb to work , xp wont recodnize it.
and now i dont sure that the come working corectly as well....
is there any special drivers i need for them ? is there any utility i can test the conection with befor ? to be sure the cable talk with the phone ?

I do not think any special drivers.
It could be your Operating System.
Why dont you try the program on a Windows 98 Operating System?

its the lead mate use a t100 data lead (1 that comes with phone) as my unlock read lead did not work and the program ttook 30mins as well but as soon as i changed the lead to that on it took 30 secs to put in test mode and everything went fine im running xp by the way

Don´t know how to get around it.

40 minutes download time.
