stupid question!!

I know this sounds stupid but does anyone know of a way to get an 8310 to display its phone number on the screen or some software that works via infared or cable that could read the phone number, all i want to do is find out the phone number, the sim wont dial out so i cant do it that way.
Is there anouther way???

Go into settings/phone settings and sometimes there is a own number section which should have it in there!!

Nope tried that, its empty and it wants me to put the numbers in so it can tell me.

Maybe YOU should have bought the phone/sim! But, there's two ways around this!
1) Buy a new pre-paid sim which has a new number!
2) Find out if it's a pre-paid card in the phone, if it is, put some credit in it and dial another mobile, ensuring that the "Own number sending" setting is on! This will display the phone number! If it's a Bill phone, then go with option 1!

What network is the simcard on??

Goto their website and see if they have a code to display your phone numner onscreen!!

On vodafone uk it is *#100# and call button and it displays the number!
