I ordered a cable from bargaincell.com for the 3360. The cable only had 4 pins and pheonix didn't recognize the phone. $25 wasted! I ordered a cable from ucables.com. Pheonix didn't recognize the phone and ucables said they don't have any software that works with the phone. So how do they know the cable works with no software to test it. $80 wasted! Then I bought a IRDA port to see if i could connect the 3360 to pheonix with that method. No luck. $40 wasted. I am I doing something wrong and does the cables really work?

The version is 03.50.000. I guess its the original cuz it wont start unless i have the fls-2 dongle hooked up. Is there a software that can test the cable?
thanks

You can use LMLinkTest to test your datacable.

All aftermarket data cables SUCKS. Get your self a FLA-13 Adapter. Expensive but good.

my bargain cell cable only had 4 pins, is that what it's supposed to have? Logomanger wouldn't detect the phone with the ucable cable or the bargain cell cable. Pheonix wouldn't detct the phone either with the cable. I used another phone but no luck. I have the npc dlls. I guess I wasted $140 for nothing. How much is the FLA-13 Adapter and where can I get it? I'm trying to soc unlock the phone or at least change the irdb on a soc unlocked cingular phone so the phone will work with cellular south.

My bad, I apologize for not being polite. I really do appreciate any input you all have given me. I didn't mean to let my frustration over this matter cover up the fact that I am grateful for the help.:(

Grab some solder, flux, iron, and a battery. If you build up the contacts on the battery it will correct your problem. OEM is the best but the aftermarket cables do work. It takes 60 seconds and you will have a great solid connection

Good Luck

Wouldn't heating up the contacts on the battery possibly cause some kind of explosion or harm to the battery???

Have you done this?

It makes no harm, just make sure you don't do it too big because it can damage the phone pins.
