I tried to reformat my sis 3650 MMC card via Extras-->Memory-->Format Mem Card... halfway through the reformatting process, the fon suddenly turned itself off! Then I tried to check on the MMC, it says "Memory card corrupted!" then automatically asks "Format memory card? Data will be deleted during formatting." I clicked on "Yes." Then halfway through the reformatting process, it would shutdown AGAIN! I tried to reformat the MMC again but halfway through the formatting process, it would AGAIN shutdown! What the fu*k is wrong? Is this normal? How am I to remedy the MMC reformat? Is it a firmware problem of the 3650? Or is the MMC somewhat faulty?

Pls help. Need advise. Thanks in advance.

I've got 6 bars on the batt level... the fon HAS NO wildskinz installed... I just reformatted the phone mem by means of *#7370#. Then I tried to reformat the MMC afterwards and this is when this problem starts.

well you need to format it thru an mmc card reader/writer via computer or laptop... after than insert in onto the 3650 to have the systems plugged in...

if it still does not work, try formatting the mmc thru a different 3650...

@shizo/3650 Fil users

where can I get hold of a MMC reader/writer? And how much is it here in the Phil? Thanks for the speedy reply!:)

@3650 users

do you guys experience this same kind of problem? I really was planning to shift from my 7650 to a 3650 but having encountered this problem with my sis fon, I'm having second thoughts of shifting now!:(

I have the same problem too.. that error ocurred cause some of the program from the mmc is being loaded by the phone. I installed file manager and put it in phone memory, using that software, I erased all the data on mmc. After the data gone, formating mmc would run smoothly..

But new problem appear :( after formating complete, I tried to install all the program to mmc, when I am about to copy all the crack to system\apps folder.. the folder was hidden, I still figure it out, how to make that folder appear? got any clue?

I guest, after formating the mmc, you should create a folder name system, so everything will installed in that folder..

Kobayashi2B,

I got my MMC card reader 7 in 1 in SM Fairview for only 1,200.

javanese,

If your using E File Manager to be able to see your SYSTEM folder go OPTIONS, SETTINGS, GENERAL, and make sure that SYSTEM FOLDER option is ON. Hope this helps...

I have formatted my phone a few times already and also a few MMC cards everytime I feel that my phone is slowing down b'cuz of installing and removing programs that I've installed. But I never really encountered a big proglem where I would have to bring my phone to nokia care. The worst problem I encountered I was able to fix it just by posting on a forum and someone just replied back with the answer.... OH, if you have a firmware lower than V2.50 then you might have programs formatting MMC's. That what I found out but when I upgrade it to V2.50 less problems...
