View Full Version : 3650 Draft messages in MMC cant be deleted...

Hiya mateys!:D

I just wanna ask for your assistance... M not really familiar w/ the architecture and everything of the N3650... M a 7650 user... well my sis 3650 needs remedying... her Inbox in her MMC has some messages in Drafts that cant be deleted... "General System Error!" message pops up all the time whenever I try to delete the messages... a lot here would suggest to reformat the MMC right? But the problem is, for some f/w v2.50 reason (accdg to Nokia Tech Support), the fon cant reformat the MMC... everytime halfway through, it gets corrupted. So reformatting the MMC is no longer an option... any other suggestions or what-so-ever? Thanks and we'd appreciate any help that you may offer!:D

BTW, whats the latest f/w of the 3650?:confused:

my mom has a 2.50 version, i just reformatted her MMC.

Yeah I know... I reformatted my sis MMC using another 3650 w/ f/w 2.50... I called Nokia Tech Support here in M.M. and the technician told me that the f/w 2.50 does have a bug in it and that later f/w versions have fixed the bugs... and that 3650's bought in Greenhills, unathorized dealers, etc w/ f/w 2.50 shouldn't be out in the market due to the bugs in f/w! They were puzzled as to how did the shops get hold of this bunch of fons w/ f/w 2.50... WEIRD! Or maybe just some lame reason to end the call?:D And that the only remedy for the reformat prob would be a reflash!

Anywayz, any ideas mateys on how to fix the MMC-->Inbox-->Drafts-->messages that cant be deleted problem?

Change the message memory to phone and when it asks you if you want to copy mmc messages to phone choose yes if you have messages to be saved then using a filemanager browse to e:\system\ and delete the folder mail
Now go to messages and delete any draft you want and then switch back the messages memory to mmc,again it will ask you if you want to copy messages from phone to mmc and once again choose yes
