hi,
I'm new on these boards but i can help you with this (My 5510 had the same problem and i fixed it yesterday :D)
You need an ordinary MBUS/FBUS datacable (with a bit of modification)
The EXT_UI program (http://202.61.89.95/tapgsm/5510.zip password is: www.ed2k.com.ph)
Soldering iron
The pinout for the nokia 5510 is:
http://gsm-technology.com/g/for_unlockers/pinout/noki3310_small.jpg
I'll name them:
...1...2
3...4...
1= Mbus
2 = Gnd
3 = Fbus (rx)
4 = Fbus (tx)
What you have to do is remove the Mbus (1) wire. That can be done by soldering it off and moving it away.
Then unsolder 3 + 4 and switch their places. Then solder that.
Screw your datacable back up, connect it to the phone (with battery in place) and your pc. Plug in the charger, then open the software.
Choose the indata (InitData_R060.a00) and intdisk files (InitData_R061.a00) and click "Flash EXT_UI"
Once that's done, reset your phone (Remove battery).
Put the battery back in and press "Write EXT_UI Product info".
The default port selected is COM1 but that can be changed by editing the Flash.ini file.
Once that's done, you're ready to go :)
i got my information from other posts and boards but it took me ages to fully understand what to do. (That plus a lot of 'trial and error')

(p.s. hi every one on the boards :))
