COULD SOMEONE CALL GLOBE AND TELL THEM TO UNBLOCK THESE SERVERS.
yahoo business mail servers:
incoming mail server - pop.bizmail.yahoo.com
outgoing mail server - smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com
these are paid services from yahoo. globe does not have the right to block them. franchesca and blackskull business mails are paid with the package that i pay every month. that is $1800 fucking dollars. so those servers should not be blocked!!!
and the messenger servers:
yahoo messenger - not sure with server address and port
msn messenger - messenger.hotmail.com port 1863
icq server - login.icq.com port 5190

you're paying US$1,800.00 for what?? web servers?? thats way to expensive!!
anyway, i'm not a globe employee or anything connected to them, i for one is not happy that globe blocked the servers you listed, but for as long as globe's gprs is free, i think they have all the right to block whatever site they want. But if they block paid gprs service, then thats another story.

i think that's kind of stupid. blocking some sites....
they say you can make use of their service (GPRS) but leaves its subsribers nothing to use it for. STUPID. free nga ala naman mapaggamitan. gusto ata nila sa globe site lang pumunta para may charge kapag nag download.

exactly!! why else do you think they're giving it for free?? if we're paying for it then we complain, but if it's free then we just have to be contented with what the free gprs has to offer, other than that we just have to use the other globe gprs configuration and pay 50c/kb

you have to ask the experts in here :)
but as far as i know, it depend on your pop mailbox server (ISP), as Globe don't have a pop mail service for us.

if you want the globe mails and setups.
you have to subscribe to globe quest. try calling the operators for more information about that. globe quest is the name.

There's no restriction with the other access point internet.globe.ph but we need to pay for the service.
If we use the www.globe.com.ph as an access point we are limited in some aspects like blocking of pop access also http access if your using the doris etc.
They are blocking this services in the free access so that we are force to pay for the service if we really need it.

Had just checked my IM+ and Wireless IRC last night, Globe had in fact, blocked all GPRS services using the access point www.globe.com.ph except for the built in browser...
Globe is misleading the public for their free GPRS advertisements
????????????????????

Everyone,
This is unverified but a source told me that indeed, globe has already blocked all services except wap browsing on its www.globe.com.ph AP. You need to subscribe to "G-Surf" (internet.globe.com.ph?) to be able to have full internet access over gprs.
