Have used rolis and eeprom to unlock, change imei and update faid but there is no signal when i restart the fone.

Update.....
I gave up last night and it wasnt working but today i put the sim in and switched the fone on and guess what..... theres a signal!!! :D but........
the thing is using a tmobile sim the signal strength goes up to four bars, then drops down to 1 and using an o2 sim the highest it goes up to is 1 bar then back to zero. it keeps doing this, up and down and has been doing it for a couple of hours.
any advice???

That isn't a software problem!
It may be the network or the filter chips.
I'm not good in hardware!
Sorry for the bad English!

another day.....:o
I used eepromtools 4.0 to update the faid again and the signal strength has stopped going up and down now but it is very weak, often zero bars.
Looking around the forums it seems it has happened to a few others after changing imei and updating faid on a 5210, eg -
http://nokiafree.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7667&highlight=5210+phoenix
I have tried following the instructions on several threads and still the signal strength is weak. Heres what ive tried -
using eepromtools 3.1 and 4.0 and noktool 1.8 I -
cleared sp locks
updated faid
changed imei back to original
still the signal is weak
then i used knokphoenix 1a on a win98 machine to reflash the fone and i get a "cannot prepare phone" error message when trying to read and write.
I get the same error message using xpmobile on an xp machine.
I then tried rolis nokia dct3 flasher 4.79 and got a "preloader boot error. check - mobile choose etc...." error message.
i have change the parallel port settings in bios to ecp, epp, ecp + epp, still no luck.
i have checked the mbus cable works with logomanager etc, and i have checked it on other fones (3310, 3330), and it does work.
what can i do? is there anything left that i can do?
i dont think its a fone hardware problem. im sure it just needs reflashing but i cant do it.
arrrgghhh. anyone any advice please?..:(

asamualaikum!
have u check ur board either stil straight or BEND? in most cases,5210 units problem have suffered with no power or no signal problem,in major reason of problem were wet, throw out or drop,damn......if you want to destroy your fone, simply burn it with gasoline so no need to have a burial like those who want them to repair them with a reason of something stupid reason like throwing in wall of her/his boyfriend/girlfriend...joke only for those who experienced this lazy thing......
for rules by rules............always check the flow of currrent in digital or analogue power supply...if stock, check PCB if it was repaired by a fortune teller?damned!!!check the VCXO module, flash ic,ccont ic or mad/cpu if it was damaged----check it manually/visually if you have a microscope so you see & analyzed what was the main problem speciallialy if the module were insulated with fucking epoxy glue or else.....if the lead balls are burnt out or escaped in scrotum balls,it is necessarily to rebuild the lead balls of an ic which it is damaged..................
hey guyz..........im drunk................better text me.........for further hardware infos...................+639173868040-genehack...................................
