Hey people.... Just a bit of interesting reading....

If you wanna keep any picture as your operator logo, then open us handyfile and go to the c:\system\apps\phone\oplogo folder and paste any picture there....
Once you've pasted the pic there, change the name of your pic to whatever your CSP (cellular service provider) code is...
Also just change the file extension to *.mbm
eg....
original filename = sexy_spikes.jpg
renamed to = 404_4_0.mbm

restart your phone and vola.......
you have the picture as your operator logo....
incase you're having problems finding out your CSP code then browse to Z:\system\bootdata\operinfo.txt
and have a look in there....

Cheers
Let me know if it works...
It works for me...

What happens if the picture size is bigger than the operator logo is supposed to be?

it will resize, but if the pic is not proportioned the way it should be i will shrink and it won't cover the entire operator logo section.

For example you have a square logo, it will just occupy a little space on the left section for the operator logo

Hi All,

There is a new App coming out called OP-Man made by Ximplify, i am a beta tester.

it allows you to use any Picture message or photo and it lets you crop it to fit the standard Operator Logo size.

They will provide upgrades that can make the logo transparent too..

I tried to install the Op-Man Program on a friends phone, but it is Locked to my IMEI....

FXplorer by Domi from www.allaboutsymbian.com.

It is FREE.

It can set the oplogo, and it will automatically scale the picture you select to fit.

FXplorer does a lot of other things too (it is a file explorer like seleq primarily), and it's only approx 50kb.
