Hi.
People doing reverse engineering for siemens, alcatel, motorola, nokia. But I just interesting this is illegal or not? May I sell and distribute modified flash file? Manufactor have copyrigth to defend it? Our country don't have such a International Copyright treaty.
Thanks for attention.

AFAIK, reverse engineering is legal for educational purposes. Obviously this varies according to country/european law.

But the big question I have is why should other people spend hours creating their mods, and share them with the community only to have someone leeching them and making money out of it?

As a freeware coder (new to this scene but bitten with the bug) I would be extremely peeved to find someone selling my code! I'm sure the moders would feel the same. Result? No more releases for anyone! :(

Sorry if I misunderstood your intentions. Of course if you created the mods in the first place, it's between you, Nokia (et al) and the courts to determine the legality of selling them :p
