do i need to have an icq account? is there any way to transfer contacts data aside from doing it one by one?

I think u must have an ICQ account, I`m from Slovenia and I send via VEGA ( a lokal operator ), but if u are from other country u cannot send from VEGA, but just from ICQ. I think u have to put manualy one by one in the program...

Can you guys explain the need/advantages for this app?
You can already send SMS' via GPRS through the standard nokia menus...(at least on the 3650 there is an option)

@schizo
just the regular settings of globe gprs
just fill out the required fields
Settings
Language : English
Signature : your signature
Use signature : yes if you want to
Default country code : 63
Provider : ICQ
ICQ Number : Your ICQ number
ICQ Password : Your password
Sending method : HTTP POST
and it will work on Smart telecoms, just like ICQ do... no globe
i tried it on 3530 and it also works!!!

Type in ICQ in a search engine and ICQ website will give you details. This is a program like MSN messenger but also does sms. When you register get the ICQ no and your own password and put it in.
Go through GPRS, normal GPRS and not WAP GPRS.
That should help hopefully.
I have a problem though. I have sent the messages and it says it has been sent but it hasn't been recieved yet.(texting myself to test). The fields for the contacts is a bit unclear. First is for country +44. Second box "local area", does that mean the Network operator no etc 079? Then the third box, is it the rest of the number etc 80765432? Has anyone else recieved text messages?

ICQ have really got on my nerves. The website is dire awful, doesn't explain shit, the forums are packed with people wineing on about not recieving ICQ sms messages and how shit the site is. Honestly, wingers going on, haven't they got anything else to wine about.
By the way, I can't recieve any text messages even though it says its been sent. Its just pretend SMS, doesn't actually send anything, only in your mmmmmmmmmmiiinndd!!!
Dug up this quite well hidden FAQ, can't decrypt it but I think it says your mobile communication service provider will charge!
Also I don't know if I made myself clear. So
ICQ site is SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTT!!!! :(
