hi guys does anyone have the best settings for pvauthor yet? because i have loads of movies downloaded and i wanna convert them to mp4 using pvauthor but i just cant seem to find the best settings for sound etc etc, any help is greatly appreciated

I use Pvauthor to convert my video files to mpeg4, here are the settings I use:

screen size: 176x144

audio: 12.20, 8.00 khz, mono, 3gpp

maximum frame rate: 7.49 fps

custom bitrate: 200,000

*aside from the above-mentioned settings, leave everything as is

Note:

with the above-stated settings, my videos are very crisp and clear, audio is ok, but I wish it could be better, unfortunately, 12.20 is the highest audio setting possible. The videos run smoothly on my 3650 using realplayer (you might have to play with some of the settings of realone just in case the video lags or is choppy). But be warned, with these settings, a 20minute video could end up close to or a little above 30megabytes. That's the price one has to pay to get very good quality video.
