My 3330 will not pick up any network after flashing and unlocking. I know flash is OK as I have used it before with no problems.

I have updated faid and reset full factory with eeprom tools but still I can't get a network. Can it be repaired or is it a lost cause?

Cheers, Tamperer

It's not a Network problem. I've tried different simms/networks but all give the same result. ie. Can't get a signal.

Check IMEI...I read somewhere that it can couse no network problem if it is not set to the original after flashing.../that is just a sugestion/

What networks are you trying??

I would expect its an IMEI problem, set it to an IMEI that you know works and post results!

I have tried on O2, Vodafone and T-Mobile.

I have just tried with a known working IMEI but still get no network.

And you can see them in the network search menu???

Might be something to do with RX/TX filters, I read somwhere that this can cause problems like this!

I have a 3310 which threw a wobbly and went into the dreaded Contact Service mode after a touch of rain. (Although my 3330 survived much worse at the same time - but is UK built instead of Brazilian ;)). Nokia local agent took 2 months to determine they couldn't fix it and eventually sent it back (without the screws - saves buying that torx just yet). Quick net search and I found you guys. Water damage was just a bit of surface corrosion - nothing serious (I've seen a lot worse in 747 avionics!)

Epromtools kindly told me it was an MCU checksum error, so eventually I tracked down a 74HC14 and found out what Portuguese for soldering iron is (I'm in Brazil at the moment - I couldn't exactly go to Maplin) and lo and behold, I now have a 3315. Nearly.

Like Tamperer, I can see the network from the manual screen (GSM was only launched here in December, so there's just the one network & they don't even bother to lock the phones!) but also get a "no access" error when trying to select it. Flashed several different rom versions - with the same results.

As I've just given my life story, I figure I can ask another question ;) .... when switching on, the phone goes through the "charging" sequence, followed about 30 seconds later with "ooops... no I'm not" error message - this happens if the charger is plugged in or not. Needless to say, it doesn't actually charge the battery. Anyone got any ideas on that one? I've already wire linked the fuse out to no avail...
