SmartLauncher PROBLEM

FRIENDS I HAVE NOTICED THAT THIS SOFTWARE IS CAUSING BATTERY PROBLEM, WHEN I REMOVED IT THIS PROBLEM DISAPpEARED.

I thing the app SmartLauncher takes a lot of battery usage.
Suggestion:
Buy an extra battery. ^_^x

Using screen saver the battery consumption is not just "so high", as it is with smart laucher... but it's something abnormal.... hehe

Does the smart laucher background process runs even if smart laucher is "off" from the settings, and if I start it manually???
is this background process related to the laucher functionning, or is it only for the smart laucher task manager???

I don't have a problem with the app at all as far as my battery goes. I found that the easy way to stop the problem is to kill the application when you're not gonna use it for a while. How?

If you have SmartLauncher set so that it runs whenever you hit the menu button (instead of having the normal menu load) then you can safely kill the sLauncher task by using the Task Manager that comes with sLauncher.

Press and hold the menu button till the task manager shows up. Highlight the sLauncher task and press the (C) button or select "Close App" from the Options menu.

SmartLauncher will still run when you hit the menu button, but while you're not using it, its not in the memory quite as much and thus not chewing up your battery life anywhere near as much.

Its a bit of a pain, but if you're not gonna be using the phone for a while, it'll save you battery life. This will work on both the 3650 and 7650.

instead of killing the app, you could simply go to options and exit the program instead of hiding it. killing the app is only used when a program hangs.

for me smart launcher is a good program!!! it dresses your borring 7650 or 3650, although i coz a battery consumption but it is worthy!!

Yes I have the same problem with the battery but I have two sets of battery and i have charger at my office,my home and my car so it's not a problem at all.

Smart launcher is too cool for me so i won't delete it from my fon.heheheh

Well , here i have the same problem , the batery simply vanishes..
but it's worth the efort , for the look it gives to the phone , but has may of you said it makes it a bit slower and he eats all the memory , as i tried to record some videos , and then to play them , and real one player was always saying the memory was full , stoped smartlauncher , and the same error , i had to disable it and reboot the phone (xii , this is remenbering a Windows PC :D )
as for MGS , o got Karting and Tetrix , an they are working at least for now.

I don't think the battery life is decreased by Smart Launcher or Screen Saver. It's just the processor of the phone who drains the energy, but have hope they r working on a different Processor now, who doesn't have to use the step by step system.
And i heard that they r busy with making batteries with fuelcells, but that's a long time away from us.
Would be cool though, only having to your phone your phone once a month/year!!!

BTW any good links on SMARTLAUNCHER skins?
I need a few good ones and with icons preferably.

I don't have any expecial problem of battery with smartlauncher, 2 or sometimes 3 days with a normal use. My battery is the Nokia original one.

Well , you don't play much with you phone :P or you shut it off at night ;-)
to me is lasting 1,5 to 2 days max with always on.
SmartLauncher is a good program , but it has it's bugs , for examplo now i knew my batery was almost discharched and it was saying the batery was full , both in the launcher (it's batery status does not work properly) and in the phone (it works , but today was wrong).
As for skins i'm planing to do a Longhorn skin for it ;-)

Yes yes!
But I use my phone in a normal way, 20 min of call in a day, 3 o 4 SMS, 10 o 15 min of gaming (stackup) and various minutes of browsing the menu etc....
