Duno for you but i even run pirates on my 3650 without problems. Just check help file for key mappings, and i enebled the joystick other than that all is default.
And off course messages are stored on MMC not on phone memory.

A little tip for Nokia7650 owners:

As the*.d64 files are 170 KBs big, you can zip them to lower their size down to nearly 80 %!
Then send the small zip file to your phone's messagefolder and try to open the file with zipman. Frodo doesn't find those zipped roms, so you have to do a little trick. In Zipman, select send current file via e-mail and then close the mail, so that it will be stored in the message folder.
Now Frodo is able to find the *.d64 file.
After playing just delete the e-mail and you have saved the 170 KBs again.
The zipped Rom remains in your inbox!

Judic

Does anyone know how i could mark the *d64 Files in my Inbox as readed? If i want to open directly it Says "Unknown Data format" (unbekanntes Dateiformat) So it always say that i have new Messages.

@ imodium
try commando.t64 from www.C64.com (http://www.C64.com) send it to your phone via Bluetooth or Infrared.
Then start Frodo and press the left Display Button. Click on "Launch Game" and select "commando.t64" now wait till the game is loaded (don`t frightened cause of the first sounds still wait till Game is loaded completly)
I think it should work even on your 7650.

I haven't tested it yet, but perhaps try to copy and paste the file with a filemanager à la SeleQ into another part of the c-drive and delete the original file in the inbox-folder. But I don't know if Frodo is still able to detect the file, if it's otside the message-folder.

Another possibility would be the mentioned trick to send zipped roms to your device. I talked about it further up in this thread. But after doing this trick you have the roms as e-mails!

even on your 7650

Hey! "even"? It works fine on a Nokia 7650! There is no hardware-superiority of the 3650, besides MMC, Net and BT-Audio.

what about processor
as i understand it the 7650 only runs at 50hz
the 3650 runs at 104hz

see http://my-symbian.com/7650/compare.php
and
http://www.sonyericssonp800.com/

so u may find that the 3650 may runs thing the 7650 cannot

Everygame works with ease. If you get game-compilations from arnold you have to list the "disc" contents and then load a game, not start the whole disc. d64 is disc image t64 is tape image. i think cartridge images are not working. (lazy me havent tested). But all the games ive been testin this far works like a charm. :)
thanks for the developers of FRODO!

I think those informations are wrong. I read that the 7650 has also 104 Mhz (megahertz: 104000000 Hz!!)! Only the 9210 has 52 Mhz! It would make no sense that the 3650 has more CPU than 7650 for the same OS!! But it is true that the 3650 is a little bit faster because the OS is more optimized, nevertheless it has the same CPU!

That's also the reason why a Gamboy-Emulator can work on a 7650/3650 but would never be able to work on a 9210 with its CPU of only 52 Mhz!

Judic

i thought the same as you but these link are from respectable sites and the info should be correct
i have shown you my evidance that the 7650 runs at 50hz can u show me the evidance it runs at 104hz please
i have looked everywhere and they all say the same
7650 50hz 3650 104hz same as the n gage will be 104hz

the only people saying the 7650 runs at 104hz i have seen are 7650 users.

No Problem!
I am 100% sure that the 7650 has also a 104 MHz CPU!

But you want facts:
All about symbian (http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/support/directory/viewsupport.php?id=51)

another hp (http://www.the7650.com/faq.htm)

A swiss hp (look at the bottom) (http://www.aikon.ch/7650/doku/7650.htm)

Convinced?

still not sure mate
the first 2 links are responses from tech support or faq which could be wrong
the last one im not sure of

we both could be wrong but i would deffinatly believe http://my-symbian.com if they say its 50hz

not sure about the p800 link i gave you

i myslef have always understood that the 7650 was 104hz but that was due to what all the 7650 owner have told me

i have had both and the 3650 does run a hell of alot quicker than my old 7650 so its started me thinking

just shocks me that the 3650 runs so much quuicker in practice hard to beleive this is just due to the upgraded os

i wont say im right though becuase truth is i dont know but im sure other people will start to think to if http://my-symbian.com even say its 50hz

its ok we are not saying the 7650 wont run frodo
earlier in the topic a few people had problems but no one had said what phone they were using so i asked the obvious question
most people experiencing problems are the 7650 owners it seems with this software though i dont reckon its the phone but the actually users, trying to run the zip files etc instead of un zipping them

It says 52(!) M(!!)Hz not 50hz!! 52 MHz would be 52,000,000 hz!!
my-symbian.com is of course a good site to trust in, but look at what they compare the 7650 with! It seems to me that those informations are from summer 2002!! And the infos from my sites are from 2003! So perhaps in 2002 nobody knew the truth that there are 104 MhZ in the 7650!

I don't think that i'm wrong and I will continue to believe in 104 MHz!

Another thing:
Some 9210 users asked Wildpalm the great developer of StackUp, ZipMan, GoBoy, 24, Doom for 7650 and many more if they can't make a version of GoBoy for the communicator, too!
The answer from Wildpalm was that it is impossible to do so, because 9210 has only a 52 MHZ CPU, but the 7650 has 104!!
And software-developers should know the truth!!

MrWolfman
12-05-2003, 09:13 AM
yes they should i would rather take that from wildpalm that is a good info u just gave there
very confusing isnt it
so may we find out that the 3650 is using a 144hz strongarm in the future like a pocket pc lol

wishful thinking

Judicator

:D
...or that the N-Gage with its 104 MHz is only superior to 7650/3650 because it has a Geforce 4 Card in it! ;)

No, I read that its really a different 104 Mhz-CPU in N-Gage (optimized for fast graphics): like a Pentium 200 and a Pentium 200 MMX...

But that's a bit too off-topic, now!

But 104 MHz in a mobile is really impressive!!

well im sure i know what a zip file looks like and i unzip the files then send them to the phone and they still dont work if i send 3 roms the first one doesnt load the second comes up and an error comes up similer to the one on the other page and the 3rd rom starts to load but freezes

Is it possible to run games that comes on 2 discs/tapes, like maniac mansion? If so how do you do?

Kewldude
12-05-2003, 06:24 PM
It would be stupid to let the nokia 7650 have a 50mhz processer. because, it shouldn't be able to record streaming video, i'm a programmer, i know that the only thing that could slow the nokia down is, to have 2 many programs in memmory. and it doesn't make sence anyway that the 3650 is faster. why would nokia be so stupid? and gamrboy games can't be run on a 50mhz DRAGONBALL proc...that most PDA's used, but deu on a cassiopeia e-105 with a proc of 150 mhz can barrely run it, then again, the crap runs on windows. so all i can say is,

Nokia 7650 = Style
Nokia 3650 = Memory

MrWolfman
12-05-2003, 06:34 PM
sorry mate but the 3650 is faster i have both so i should know
as in i agree they have the same processor but the 3650 still runs faster
