Compress Wav to samller wav(in kbs)

Hay guys i was wondering if anyone could tell me about a programme that enabels u to compress wav but also in wav format not mp3 to use them as ringtones, as i have a wav to amr converter but it makes sound very bad on my phone as it has small band width, while some friend sent me a ringtone wav, its sound was really great it was 3mins and only was 150kbs while
i converted only 31secs to wav and it was 5mbs, and pls dont tell me to use the nokia suite as i still dont have its connection i send my friends what i want and they send them to my phone.

You can simply use the standard sound recorder for that purpose!
But the sound still sucks:( :( :(

nooo, i want to compress wav files so that they have good sound ............. any help??

well - on the 7650 you could do the following.

use a software-prog like cooledit,goldwave or soundforge
or whatever program you fancy for cutting or/and editing
your wav.
convert it down to 22000 16bit mono and try saving
it with IMA ADPCM (wav) - the size on the file would be
smaller and the sound quality not "that" bad (considering
the output-sound the 7650 can produce) :)
