downloaded upgrade software

ok ive downloaded an upgrade flash file for my 6130 backed my phone up by using rolis but when i attempt to open the upgrade flash files it states windows doesnt know what program created it any ideas what opens these flasher files i mean i got a few other flasher files and none of them open by the way im running windows xp

In rolis flash go to flash-->write-->browse to file you got-->click OK--> if its a full flash (MCU+PPM) click OK again.

thanks for that but i already done all that it took me ages to get userport to work with windows xp but i mastered it the problem is i can read the flash and back it up but when i try load mcu files or ppm files i just get error message and also all these software versions i have downloaded just wont open because windows doesnt know what program created it ANY IDEAS

ofcourse windows doesn't know wich program it should run when you click on that.fls file. You must open the prog itself en then open the file...

If it doesn't have a .fls at the end, rename it and put one at the end! The Open Rolis, open file, browse to find the newly named file and then flash!!! Windows will give that error if the file type is not registered! *.fls files are not, but WILL open in rolis!!!;)

did i mention nice people here, well obviously your not one of them because you presume because you know what to do then everybody should know which youre wrong because if that was the case we wouldnt need this forum,if you havent got a constructive answer just dont bother PLEASE
