T100 newbie questions

Hi, i was given a t100 last week and i need to unlock it so it works with my sim card. I have downloaded this software (Samsung service software) but i dont want to go ahead and do it incase i do something wrong and kill my phone. Could someone tell me what options i need to select i.e remove sim lock ect and tell me if i need to reset the "imei" serial code? The phone had a contract sim inside it and is being used in a new phone now. Many thanks

Hi I have almost the same problem, except I am having a
"system failure contact provider" message appearing on my cellphone when entering the correct 4 digit pincode which belongs to my simcard.

Which software might help me without spending many Euro's on a flashbox, which doesnt give me 100% insurence it will work.

I downloded a program called santel it works fine and is on these forums somewhere if u loo.if u cant find them give me ur e-mail adress and i will send them to you asap. Oh if you find the software here, theres some info u need:

1.

MAKE SURE PHONE IS ON AND WORKING (IE WORKING SIM IN IT)

2.

PLUG IN DATA CABLE THAT CAME WITH PHONE

3.

START SAN TEL SOFTWARE

4.

CHOOSE PHONE (T100 IS SGH-R210)

5.

CLICK "UNLOCK"

6.

PHONE WILL RESET AND TURN OFF THEN BACK ON

JOB DONE !!!!!!!

I used a 4 in 1- Samsung data-/unlock-cable and it didn't work. Could the phone be dead or could this be a cable-problem?
