90% of the sites, address, info people provide here on NokiaFree are not their compilation. But the sole moto is that "If I know it everyone should". Only genuine people can do that. Everybody these days just wants to hide every other info to himself only. If somebody provides some info, it's better not to say anything if you atleast can't say a thank you.

Cheers to all those who provide these sort of informations here at NokiaFree and everywhere else...:)

Hi all,

where can I get the latest version of the firmware and how to flash my N6610 phone?

Is there any site which can help me with flashing? Is the 4.74 version stable and "safe"?

Thanks a lot!

I don't know the link from where you can download version 4.74, but I know from where can you download version 4.72.
Click here to download MCU/PPM (http://forum.i-phone.org/download.php?id=71)

You have to be a member of the forum, it's easy to become one.

Download and enjoy. The best firmware I have seen in 6610.

Just had my 6610 upgraded to 4.74 (from 4.28) today. What I immediately noticed is that I only need to hold down the power button for about a second to power on or off, just like any other Nokia phone.

With version 4.28 I had to hold the power button down for like 5 seconds. Sometimes it doesn't even register the button press and I have to release and press again.

The new firmware didn't recognize my date and time format (12hr, dd/mm/yy) which are different from the default (24hr, mm/dd/yy). Had to manually re-enter the date and time again eventhough they're already correct.
