A800 soft..!!!

installed no probs Easylink 2.0.0 ,but still having problems getting software to work,no matter what i try i cant get the phone to connect therefore no chance uploading logo's and tones,am i doing something wrong or is it a fault with software/data cable (t100 cable)...

I have exactly the same problem!!!

the help supplied with easylink II is pants and can't find any more info on the net.

Seems like this is the only software for a800 to upload tones and pics but nobody seems to be able to get it to work.

Perhaps a specific data cable for a800 would help, not the t100 one which everyone seems to use!

I dunno, might buy a Nokia as they are piss to mess with.

Not sure if this is any good to you, but i read elsewhere that it works if you use Windows XP with the T100 cable and Easlink 2.0.

I've done successful to download tone from PC to my SGH A800!

Step by step to do it

1. You must have EasyLink 2.0
2. Turn your phone on
3. Plug your data cable to phone (T100 cable)
4. Run EasyLink 2.0
5. Download ringtone to your phone.

Done.

Work 100%, tested by me an my SGH A800

Sorry but this does not work!

I can never ever get it to connect to my phone, always just says "offline". I think samsung are trying to bullshit us with software that doesn't actually work, with no help via tekky support or via help files.

A-800
EasyLink 2.0
T100 Datacable
Window XP


and i still can ablle to get anywhere, it alwayz says offline, but when i turn off the fone and plug it in, the led on the top of the flip goes red... thats about it... i've tried changin com-ports but i still can get it to appear "online", and theres no connect button that i can see....

it works fine if ya use a usb to serial lead with ya t100 cable tested by me 100 percent:D

wait a sec.... i hav a T100 datacable... but's its already a serial one.... do u lot all hav usb ones? if not... do u mean that i need to get a serial-to-usb ?

I read somewhere that WinXP doesn't let you connect to hardware for some reason or another, have you tried to apply compatibility settings (Win98 or Me) to Easylink and then try again?

I've conect my A800 to PC used Ease Link 2.0 successful.

You must do that work follow this step by step

1. You must used Easy Link 2.0
2. Config you Easy Link conect right com port (etc. Com 1)
3. Your phone must be turn on.
4. Conect your phone to T100 Data cable.
5. Reloads by Easy Link 2.0

Done.

You can use Win98 or WinXP or other
