Hello,
Pls who can tell me how to resolve this problem.
The phone cannot send or receive text messages. I think the text messaging facility is corrupted or something.
What do I do.
I need to resolve this problem.
10x in advance.

it happened to me once, I was installing a program and I got an error message, after that the fone hanged, I had to reformat the fone using *#7370#. After reformatting the fone everything seemed ok until I found out I could not receive text messages (although I could send text messages, weird huh!). Anyway, I brought the fone to an authorized NSC, they upgaded the OS and everything is back to normal. So I suggest you bring your fone to the nearest NSC and have them reflash the OS.

You might have changed the msg centre no by accident and so it can't send to it. Depending on the network you should contact them and they will see if it is that no. Also you might not receive text because their could be a bottleneck. To resolve that manually chose a network bar the one your on. It will tell you it can't and scan for your network. Reset the phone and hopefully they should come flooding in. If they don't work then the phone needs to be formated probably. See if your network has a solution.

Message Center Numbers for Nigeria (assuming that's where you're located):
Econet: +2348020000009
MTN: +2348030000000 (pay-as-you-go) or +2348030000420 (business time)
NITEL: +234801000000 (not 100% sure on this one...)

Hello,
I just did that (*#7370) and now phone shows:
Phone StartUp Failed, Contact Retailer.
What do I do now? Idont have Neelix or Griffin or any special flashing software or box for DCT4 phones.
I just got to know that the phone was showing Memory Full when U try to access the SMS Menu.
I just want to forget about this week, 3 phones damaged by me.
I have removed the battery; I read sometime ago that to resolve this fault, U remove battery for 24 hours, and put it back.
B4 I did the *#7370#, I think the battery was very low, and maybe the power left could not complete the operation.
Anyway thats the story for U.
Thanks again.

sir when doing hard reset you should have a fully charge battery or betterplug in the charger coz if you will do a hard reset with a low bat the procedure will be cut and the result is phone star up failed.. now the only thing you can do is to bring your phone to a person who has a nelix or griffin to flash it.:D
