Well i decided to call those numbers from the phone. The first one was disconnected so i tried the second number. Someone answered it and said " Yeah how much and Where" i said "What" he said " Whos this?" i said " I found this phone with your number in it, do you know the owner of a lost nokia 7650" he said " F^^k if i know" then i said " Bye" and hung up. I decided to take it to the local police station. They put the serial number in the computer and said it had been stolen 6 months ago. I said i found it on a bus stop 3 weeks ago. They took the phone and said they will get in contact with the rightful owner. I told them about sim card and numbers and they were real interested.

Hey, at least Mr 7650 didn't rack up £££'s worth of calls on the poor guys credit card or anything like that. That's by far the worst thing with losing a phone.

It's a sad fact, but if I lost my phone I wouldn't bother reporting it to the police unless it was insured or I saw the face of whoever took it from me. There's nothing they can do about it so there's no point.

NO, using cracked soft from rotten-in-money companies is not the same than stealing the phone of a norma-human-being...... It would be different if the people who WORK OUT the cracks with their computers and their own time, where getting the registered soft DIRECTLY from the companies computers, THAT WOULD be stealing.... (Now you are going to tell me you haven't got any crack soft, are you??)

I'm an ex-cop, and I can assure you that THERE ARE things that you can do (more or less useful, BUT, there are), ranging from blocking the IMEI to almost pin-pointing the location of that phone by identifying it on the network cells (At least in Catalunya and Spain...)

No. It just occurred to me (after reviewing certain posts), that maybe people who have "respectable" "nicks" with lots of post on their count, may (sometime), want to give a "radical" opinion on something, or maybe "attack" someone else in a thread, and may choose to create a new "nick" to do that, and thenafter never use it again, this way their original "nick" would not be affected or get banned.....
