Hi all !

I'm a newbie in this field and have need to send a SMS message using a fbus cable.

I have waded thru hundreds of pages of info - (very confusing) and was wondering if someone could just tell me the short skinny.

I just need the format and values of the string of bytes I have to send out to the phone (3330) to output a text message.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the document. But can I send these commands using a fbus/mbus data cable ? Or by what other method other than IR as the 3330 does not have IR.

Thanks in advance

this document describes the protocol and commands that you send/recieve from the phone, connected to the pc with mbus/fbus cable.

i'm not sure if you can use this with IR at all.

The document somebody posted here is a list of Nokia AT commands. (AT commands = modem commands) They are for DLR 3P cables and not mbus/fbus cables.
The fbus/mbus "commands" are much more advanced. It's not just like dialing a modem and sending text commands (like AT commands). Among other things with mbus/fbus commands you have to do your own syncronization, etc, etc.

If you want to see how things work with a fbus/mbus cable take a look at the sourcecode of either gammu or gnokii. (Both open source nokia software projects)

-Good luck.

To send SMS using your PC and phone just use Oxygen Phone Manager II or Logomanager!

To send SMS using your PC and phone just use Oxygen Phone Manager II or Logomanager!

The much easier way :)

Btw, Oxygen Phone Manager doesn't let you send text messages in the trial version without some advertising (I.e. it tags "Sent by OPM2" or something) on to the end. Logomanager doesn't (at least it says it doesn't).

But of course you would pay for these pieces of software if you thought they were useful.

Hi all!

I'm a newbie in this field and i want to send sms messages using a DLR3P cable. I want to do this using a 6120i but when i send command to phone it tells me that these commands (AT+CMGS for example) are not implemented.

I would like to know if is there any firmware for 6120i that supports these commands.

I supose that if there is not that firmware, i would use a firmware from other model. If is it possible, what model could i use?

Thanks in advance.
