please HELP solve this 3650 problem

I have a Nokia 3650 and a HP laptop without IrDa or Bluetooth so I bought a USB IrDa adaptor ( Bafo BF-120) , the problem is when I connect to the PC the PC states connecting but the phone stops the connection before it is completed why ? I wish I could transfer pictures to my PC ! but the opposite way PC to 3650 it works once in every 10 times why ? please help

don't know the answer to your problem but i find the easiest way to transfer photos, apps games etc to and from my pc is to use a mmc reader, they only cost around 20 euro

Use Nokia PC Suite.
Your connection will be stable, you can send phone to PC and opposite photos, ringtones etc...

I have the PC suite it is the one causing the problem and without it nothing.

Try lowering your IRda baud rate speed to not greater than 57600. Go to device manager, select infrared device then properties, you should see the maximum connection speed there, set the value to 57600 or lower.

If this doesnt work, try asking other forumers, hope this helps :)

I have Windows Me, I opened the IrDa in device manager and there is no of te above settings available, please anyone I beg you

Most likely, its a driver problem. Try changing the transceiver type of your infrared device. I have a Bafo V6102F and it barely connected one in ten times, till i changed the transceiver type to that of a V6101E. Now i get fast 115200 connects.

have you installed the newest driver from BAFO????

you have to change the tranceiver type u have to go to the device manager and go to your irda adaptor then change the infared transceiver type to "sigma tel 4000" i think this should solve your problem:)

you helped me indirectly instead of changing the IrDa type I only changed the driver software to the type you told me about and viola it worked

:D you could of done it without throwing away your old tran. and buying a new one .
