Can I run aplications for Nokia 7650 like .SIS and .JAR files on my PC?

SIS - nope.

JAR - there is a dat out to put them in mame32, but haven't tested it.

.SIS - NOT for the moment beeing...

...I'm saying that, because a own a PSION S5mx PDA that also runs with EPOC's .SIS files, and there is an emulator so you can run the apps on the PC.....

I don't think there is yet a 7650 emultor but, since THERE IS a 91/92XX COMMUNICATOR emulator, I guess the 7650 version is just "a matter of time"....

Yes in the SDK have one emulator named EPOC. It is same like the phone, but how to intal one new .SIS or .JAR aplication in that emulator?

I don't know how it'll work on the 7650 EMU but, on the PSION S5mx EMU, you just had to copy the system folders from the PDA (once the .SIS were installed), to the equivalent folder withing the PC's EMU, and that was it...

It doesn't work with Nokia SDK!
I don't understand alot of it but to run with the emulator from SDK, you'd have to decompile all sis and jar files, which i assume to be really difficult!

Hi guys!

There are no way to run your SIS's on PC because there no emulator of ARM9 CPU with knowledge about 7650 hardware.

What we have in SDK is Symbian OS compiled for PC in x86 instructions. So you can only run your own program compiled from source in CPP.

Maybe someone will implement it somewhen but it's not easy without hardware specification of 7650 and Nokia will not publish it for sure.
