I have a nokia 6210 and want to know hot to reset the security code on it.

I bought the phone and was shown it working however i forgot about the security code.
I tried several times the obvious 12345 00000 99999 11111 e.t.c
But no good.

I also have a DCT 3 Flasher but the phone failes to flash - comes up with a Timout Error.
Tried the same cable on another DCt3 phone and it works so its definatley the phone that is weird - yet if seen it working.
Is there a way if resetting this phones security code - i have a DCt3 flasher cable and a auto-switching mbus/fbus adapter too.

You can try to read the phone info with Nokia Tool or Logomanager (most of the times this doesn't work on 6210) or you can flash a partial flash that cleans the security code.
Try to use a different boot loader when flashing. :)

read your full flash..open it with Nfree prototype 1.2 and see the eeprom infos
it also have a patch for 6210 sec code because when it has many times entered wrong it couldn't be recovered..but nfree did it and finds the values should be patched
good luck

The problem is I cannot even do a backup of the Phones EEprom - because i get a timeout error when i press the ON button, hence i wont be able to use logonmanager,
All i get is a request to enter Security code when i press the on button
So is there anything else I can try?

Dear friend,
The simplest way to recover the security code of your phone is to flash it with a virgin eeprom.
After that you have to change IMEI.
But according to my experiance when 6210 requests security code, it is like "Contact Service".
To recover it, you have to flash also the MCU+PPM section.
If you need more info contact me.

I think you all forget to realise that whatever i try i similiar cannot get the phone to flash - i get a timeout error. i KNOW my cable works because it can flash other 6210's
Also this phone powers up as normal but asks for a security code - Now what should i replace considering i cannot flash this phone with any eeprom.

@rborhara
Your 6210 seems to be "special case".
Which program do you use for flashing?

Can you read info by MBUS cable?
Use Knok or NokTools.
If NOT check contacts.
If YES i have NO idea.

If the phone will turn on, you shouls be able to talk to it via mbus! If not, clean the contacts on th botton of the phone!!! Use knok and do the following:
Quickset FAID, Reset User interface settings, Reset Full Factory Settings, Reset SP Locks, Set new IMEI, Use original IMEI, Quickset faid! In that order!

This will bring the security code back to 12345!;)
