Hmm...

I have tried using Nokia DCT-3 Flasher by Rolis, but at the end it gives me an error message saying that if I write back the flash that I will get contact service, are you sure you want to save?

Is this common? Any other program that will read the flash without giving me this message?

I tried reading it as a 3330 btw, since Rolis doesn't support 3410.

P.S. The problem I am having with this phone is that it doesn't call out, I think that the mobile has been barred, I didn't know about this until after I bought it :( I would also like to change the IMEI, so can I change this without problems using Jordik?

Thanks in advance,
-Dave

Yeah, don't take any notice of this message!!! When you save it, kill the CS|FAID with Nfader and it will be fine!!!;)

what frecency does the 3410 run on? I saw a picture of one in one of my seaches on gsm thingys they look like the 3360 version of 3315 :) so I'd like to know if they are on the USA band or normal GSM network.

Hmm...

Standard GSM mate.

It's a pretty nice phone, it's a 3330 with a face-lift ;)

Cheers,

It's also known as the 3510 in Australia, as far as I know, but they look completely different!!!;)

Hi,

Which flashers have been tested 100% to work with 3410?

By what I've read, I now wonder if the 3410 flashes as normal?

Do I have to correct any checksums?
If yes, how, which ones and using what?

@Chunkhead
You say to use NFader. Is this really necessary?

Is there just a way I can make a normal software upgrade by doing a flash and then set FAID?

@devolution
Do you mean have they released a US version? 3410 is a dual band 'phone and not 1900 MHz. Check out the Nokia website.

Best regards,
Lee.

I use Nfader to kill checksums\faid on modified or corrupt flashes! You do not need to do this normally! Just flash and update FAID via Mbus with Knok95!;) The 3410 was only released in U.K, Ireland and Africa!!!

Hi chunkhead,

Thanks for the help and your accurate info.

I am familiar with the flash of dct3 and dct4 'phones, although I knew that there was an issue that I had to check out concerning checksums, also as Rolis reports this as being wrong!

The problem is only that many applications cannot calculate the FAID number and the checksums ARE correct for original file!

Yes, you are correct that Knok works fine.

I needed more info as I do not modify flash files and I know that most on this forum do!

The good thing is that the Programmers who use NokiaFree, are always first to bring us the best solutions and are ahead in the field for dct3!!!!!

Great work guys!!
Your work is excellent.

Take care.

Best regards,
Lee.
