Hy!

I would like to link my phone to my computer with USB-to-IrDA adapter, but the program can't see the phone! The system (WinXp) see the phone!
Please help what can I do!

This is also the base for my troubles, having no data cable and no more trusting in this USB-IrDA thing after it failed with 8250 and 8310. I am also running Win XP, the IrDA worked with everything (even the phone as a modem) but Phone-specific applications didn't detect a phone!
Please, help me too... i have to hook a 6610 and 7250 with a PC and the data cable DKU-5 is not available in my country. I don't trust in USB-IrDA. Any foolproof way to get those working on win XP? I don't want to install that crap win98 just to play around with the phone........

what model is ur USB-IrDa adapter? im using one by circle data. i had a quite similar problem. if i plug the adapter in, windows xp will detect it as a Sigmatel usb-irda dongle. but its actually not, so i had to use the drivers that came in the package. when i used the driver for windows xp, windows can detect phones, but applications cannot detect phones. the problem is solved when i use drivers for windows 2000.

i have another problem with the software i downloaded it but when installing it needs a user name and a password
please if any one can help me reply as soon as possible.
