5210 flash with rollis how to fix???

o.k. flashed it with rollis b4 looking here and now cannot turn on phone is it possible to save it or is it caput plze help

Ok, this is a common problem with the 5210 which can be easily fixed using Knok. Just reflash your phone with Knok and dont use rollis on it again unless you want to kill it again.

I had a similar problem also, but I only read a backup from the phone using Knok and the phone died, a reflash also fixes this.

thanx for that blootoon tried it and knok just say's cannot prepare phone any ideas as cannot erase flash or re-write flash???

i sort of had the same problem with my 5210.
i wanted to flash the new software to my 5210, so i tried to use knok and got the error "cannot prepare phone", allthough it did allow me to do a full backup of my phone.
after trying all day with knok, i thought f*#k it and flashed it with rolis..... and yes you guessed it, it worked fine, and has done ever since.

i got my version from www.gsmschwantz.com and it says that it has support for 5210, download it and give it a try!!! what have you got to lose.

The chance of getting Rolis to flash a working file is almost impossible!!! Use Knok95 (Pic attached) and make sure you have your LPT port set correctely (Look in Rolis to check)! It will work as I have flashed a few now, and I originally had the same problems!!!;)

thanks for the reply's ppl but still not getting anywere with this all knoc95 say's when i go to press the on button is cannot prepare phone would appreciate it if some1 could lmk the answer to this 1 having already tried all the above???

tried to read the phone using rollis and it read no prob's although it did say their was a bad checksum and phone would come up contact service but i can't even get the thing to turn on any1

Hi!
Make sure your LPT port is set to ECP in BIOS...than try again with knok.. /Use win 98 to be sure that there will no be ani problems with running Knok/

I have the same problem!!!!
flashed it with rolis, it killed the fone!!!
(didnt know it dont work):mad:
tride to flash with knok but the fone just vibrate when i try to flash it!!!
tride rolis again, but the fone just vibrates???
any one out there have any ideas???

I think initially, mine was doing that too, but I got to half flash with the Newknok Build 22, then it flashed perfect in Knok95!? Try it, it can't do any harm! Also try and erase the flash first in Knok!!!;)

Oh I forgot to add that instead of pressing the power button when asked (witch wont work if the phone is dead), just insert the charget instead.

thats the way on how to use rolis to flash 5210 works 100%

download rolis 4.79
be sure you kill the faid check before flashing
in rolis selecy file>>open>>select your fls file
then press on the down arrow"copy ppm buffer to binary"
if you want to overwrite the mcu even the SW is the same"for modded files" activate this option in the program settings
Now the flash button will be active press on it and start flashing your fone
it works with me 100% without any problems but make the delay index set to 2 or 3
