I just bought Nokia 7210 online. Everything works fine except if I use the headset. I cannot make a call if I attach the headset. Though, I can receive calls with it.

I have V4.18 07-12-02 NHL-4 firmware.

Is there a known bug on this version? Any hint what's the problem?

There is no such problem in v4.18.

Is there some error message appearing on the screen or what? What problem exactly are you facing when you are making the calls or trying to call?

Be more specific, maybe it will help for a remedial reply...:)

If Headset is connected:

If I press SEND button to dial the displayed number, it goes to Wallpaper Display and does not attempt to connect. It stays like that.

If I receive a call. The phone automatically answers without pressing any button. Audio is fine, I can hear the calling party and he can hear me as well.

If headset is NOT connected:

Everything is possible, Works FINE.
If call is on-going and I connect the headset, it drops the call.

O.k...one by one...

Where exactly is the phone taking you...to the gallery or the wallpaper section in settings?
(By send button, you mean the green button, right?, Maybe it sounds stupid, but just asking...)

Do this...Go to...
Main Menu >> Settings >> Accessory Settings >> Headset >> Automatic Answer
Set the setting to Off...
(If you can't see Accessory Settings, go to standby, connect the headset, and start again, it will appear)

If call is on-going and I connect the headset, it drops the call.

This happens sometimes when you take too much time to connect the headset. Should'nt happen regularly. Avoid attaching the headset between calls.

Referring to the items above:

1. What I mean is the Main Screen. Where you see Menu on the left and Names on the Right.

2. Autoanswer is always OFF.

3. It always happen.

Then it sure is a hardware fault. Check your Nokia dealer.
