you might of flashed the wrong PPM and MCU version

try to get the same software versions, or maybe flash the eeprom again

maybe you flashed the PPm and MCU at the wrong locations too

download MCU and PPM from here (top right hand corner labeled "Downloads")

have to be exact same versions. also download virgin eeproms

you using rolis 4.78?

on the program load MCU and PPm then
flash to your phone using the flash cable.

then load 8210 eeprom flash file (found in the virgin eeprom download) and flash that to the 8210.

(i have attached picture to help you more) conditions not very good though.

then use an Mbus cable and update "faid" and voila!
fingers cross should work

Update FAID using a datacable and Nokia Tool by Rolis!
Reset factory settings and update IMEI and SP locks!
This will fix any signal problems caused by flashing!

what does it say when you click on "FAID"?

you might need to change your IMEI number, chage it to the number on the back of your phone

then update FAID

i have attached nokia tools

take the battery out of your 8210

there should be a number like this xxxxxx/xx/xxxxxx/x

that is your genuine IMEI number.

does your signal work now?

Make a complete backup of the phone and Kill Checksums\FAID with Nfader! Look at pic attached!

Yes, do as chunkhead said, kill MCU checksums and FAID.
This will mean that you never have to update FAID with that flash!

The signal thing could be to do with the antenna switch or the PA inside the phone!

when did the signal lose occur? before or after you had updated your flash files? how long have you personally had the phone for

Have you got a hot air station or a hot air soldering iron??

If so reheat the area around the top area of the board that is covered by a small shield!
This will remelt the solder on the parts and fix any dry solder joints or bad solder connections!
Hopefully this will solve the problem!

If not you wanna try the antenna switch first!
Then the PA

dont ask me for instructions on this as I have only just learnt it myself and cannot instruct you as yet but I expect other people will help you with this!
