hei nokia 7650 only has bluetooth v1.0 that unables you to use wireless headset.

Can it be upgraded to v1.1? if yes, is it by software or hardware?

i made a big mistake and bought nokia 7650 and the wireless headset and now i cant use it :( . it cost me 150€

is it Jabra freespeak?

no, its nokia's headset
and its works on 3650 bluetooth v1.1
but not on 7650 v1.0

i tryed the nokia head set i did not like it it looked like i had a bug coming out of my ear. lol also its not all that comfortable and the ear loop broke the first day.
also it starts to hurt your ear after a while.

If you can try the jabra freespeak BT head set

you can get one cheap of the net and then you call the company an tell them is not working with your phone. they will tell you to send the headset to them and they will send you a new one for free with in 3-5 business days. that works with your phone
FreeSpeak supports the headset Bluetooth profile. As of May 2003, FreeSpeak also supports phones with the hands-free Bluetooth profile. wich nokia uses.
