I don't have much experience with 3gp, but a lot of people I know say that the quality isn't that good. MP4 and RM are both good compression methods, but personally, I prefer RM, in my opinion, it has the best balance of video and audio quality. MP4 has very good video quality (depending on the settings) but has lousy audio (I use pvauthor to convert my videos to MP4).
