Can unlock old 5190 but not new

Hi guys,

I used Nokia Tool ASM-C by PRO, build 033 and it unlocked an old 5190 with v. 5.51 of the software.

I then tried it on a newer phone with v. 6.11 and it can't unlock it.

Also the SIM that works in the old phone doesn't do work in the newer phone even though they were both locked to the same provider (FIDO in Canada)

Do I need a newer Nokia Tool version? Is something screwed up on the new phone?

You wouldnt need to ask if you need a newer version if you had tried them all!

use EEPROM TOOLS v3.1 to unlock all DCT-3 (partian flash )
and use F&M bus cable (M2BUS)

Use Knok95, yet to let me down!

Quickset FAID, Reset User interface settings, Reset Full Factory Settings, Reset SP Locks, Set new IMEI, Use original IMEI, Quickset faid! In that order!;)

u don't need support form knok to reset sp locks and set imei
works with any nokia

in the drop down menu "phone model" theres no option for 5190. so how do you do it then?

Just use the 5110 slot!:D :D :D ;)

Try the 5120 and 5130 slots!? Might I also recommend talking to a user known as Green Gerbil? He has posted that he has two 5190's which he flashes and unlocks!!!
