I had the same problem with my 9210 :( After going to repairs 7 times they finally agreed to replace it. In my luck, the 9210 wasn't available anymore and they gave me a 9210i :-)
As far I understood there was a design problem in the very early 9210 (when I called the club nokia line the lady said in a very suprised voice "And it's still working?" after I gave her the firmware ID). It's some electrical component in the device that keeps frying.
Hope this helps..

Not sure anymore.. I think it was 3.24 or 3.34..
I'll try to lookup the repair receipts tomorrow, maybe I can find it in there..

Dear BASHA,
trust me & don't try to open it..... i saw a lot of 9210 out of warranty just because where opened from an not athorised persons(technician).
First of all check the instalation log and try to understand witch programm u installed near the 1st day that u had this signal problem. I had the same problem with my old 9210. The nexy step that i am suggesting is to format yr 92 carefully and try to install all the basic app at the device memory. 3rd step-
Send in my email a P.O. Box or something else and i will sent u a small sicker that u can attache at the buckside of the phone and u will see a big diference with the signal. 4th & FINAL suggestion, visit yr nokia service center...
Rabena MaaK my brother, i can understand how r u feeling....
GOOD LUCK

Is this something like the Y2K Problem for 9210???
Cause my signals where gone nearly the same time King Ahmar first reported it to this forum... Got an old firmware (3.54) too...
At first just the signal were gone but then my communicator keeps saying "Insert SIM"!!! (The SIM Card i use works fine in other phones)
Can anyone post a suggestion on that, pleeze?!
My warranty is long time gone and i know sending in a 9210 for repair can be VERY expensive...:(

exact same problem mine has.
Out of warrantee :(
Any ideas people?
How good are Nokia Centres? Don't want to send it off and then get a bill for Ģ100 when I could buy another on ebay for the same price!

Depends on wether your fone is under warranty or not, if it isnt then they WILL charge you. If your fone is under a year old then it will still be under warrenty. Ring up your local service centre, give them your IMEI number, the'll tell you if it isnt.

how do I get my IMEI number?

3 ways.
1. Type *#06# on the telephone keypad. It will display your IMEI no.
2. Open up telephone (from pda) select menu, tools and it should say display serial number or display IMEI
3. Take of your battery, on the back there should be a sticker with a long serial number.
