new software/functions for the 7250 ?!

is there any software for the 7250 that it makes possibel to send images etc to an other phone over the infrared port?

I think that this phone should can more....!

No, it is not possible to directly send or receive anything to or from a 40 series phone. Only series 60 phones (3650/7650 etc) can do that, that too only between themselves.

the i/o hardware is there (infrared), a protocol must be is there...

is there a way to write a java prgram that sends data with infrared?
are there any experiences with a function like this?

Java applications can't access the IR port directly. Only firmware modifications can do that, and no such firmware has been released by Nokia which allows to send files between 40 series phones.
