Hey guys.

I have had this 6610 (Network: o2) for about four months now, and it has worked perfectly until about two weeks ago...

My friend found a Nokia 7210 in a nighclub and realised it didn't get a signal with his o2 sim card. Me being a dumbass, it tried it in my phone and I think it's "infected" mine. It just won't get a signal anymore!

I bought a Vodaphone sim card for it this morning. Although I get a signal, the phone will not do anything (even if the signal strength is max). If I ring it on another phone it's just dead etc.

Can anyone help?

It HIGHLY unlikely your phone got "infected" if you can prove that the phone is yours (bill, recip, etc) then your should be able to it enabled.

OK, thank.

If it WAS blocked, would I be able to get a Signal with Vodafone?

I get full strength coverage, I can send messages, but I can't dial/recieve calls!

Yes but when you call out Beep-Beep-Beep SMS are still send and get messages.

try it with another network SIM in it like orange if the phone is blocked you should get a "SIM Registration Failed" message.

Alright mate, I just tried the girlfriend's T-Mobile SIM card and I get the same result as my Vodafone SIM.

I can recieve/send texts, but can't ring anyone apart from emergency services.

I'll try an Orange SIM and let you know the crack, cheers ;)
