Datacable for 8310 wont work

Hi, i just bought a datacable (M2bus/Fbus autoswitch). But it doesn't work, I've inserted the phone according to the plan, but when i put the cable i the COM port of my pc, the cell won't turn on. Doesn't turn on with cable out of pc.

How do i turn this on? Is there some sort of trick or piece of sw?

Hold the unit tight against the phone! Also if the 8310 cable is anything like the 82xx, there should be two little screws sticking out, tighten them a bit!;)
