wat will the 6600 bring

hi i wanted to know wat you think or if anybody knows if nokia will be releasing an upgrade on their site for the 7650 and the 3650 offering what the 6600 has which is digital zoom on camera and video recorder, i dont see why not photographer and camera fx has proved its not a hardware issue, and also nokias big promotion for the 3650 was its video capture which it released an upgrade for the 7650, i dont see any reason why nokia wont do it and it would be really cool to have zoom on videos,

thats true, i expect that after the 6600 has been out a while they will then bring out the video software upgrade, as they did with the 7650 video software

if it matters that much to have digital zoom on video software, buy a 6600!! It doesnt necessarily mean the quality will be any better. Thats just somethin we'll find out

7650i is urban legend. Nokia never had the intention to release a i version of the 7650.

and no, there will NO upgrades for 7650 or 3650.

the higher resolution of the screen is a difference and the higher operating system is also a big enough difference

The 6600 is almost a 3G phone because of the new os version 7.0s!

Here's what is quoted for the Symbian OS v7.0s:

Symbian OS v7.0s provides new functionality providing a fit-for-purpose platform for the 3G market and enabling the OS for 3GPP compliance, enabling the delivery of 3G services. The major new features of Symbian OS v7.0s are:

• lightweight multi-threaded multimedia framework

• support for bi-directional text (Thai, Arabic and Hebrew)

Not much effect for us end-users, but for s/w and application developers, these new features are useful for them for creating new and better applications and softwares. :)

No, a digital zoom just looks in on the picture, reducing the quality. You can do this in any imaging program

An opticial zoom is the lens moving so that you zoom in on the actual object, not the picture.

Yup, photographer and camera fx do a pretty EXELLENT job given the resolution capabilities. Those programers should win prizes! I mean, "all" they did was build an app that captures image, zooms in on specific full caption sections, post filter it to LOOK like its zoom...

If the new 6600 has optical zoom... man... wow. that is just brilliant. What that means is any place any time a GREAT foto is always taken. That means 95% chance lighting quality will be boosted to near "real-camera". That means that I will have to start posting adds to sell one of my kidneys because I am broke like a 9 year old collage girly...

no that's not treu, a digital enhencement is also called a digital zoom, look on digital camera's, the 2 * digital zoom is hardware based, that's why all photo applications that are standaerd in the 6600 will be functionall with the 2* digital zoom, if it's hardware based, the camera still takes the resolution that is used for the camer, only the lens will look larger in details, like if you take a photo with photographer, it just uses an algorithm that will enhence the picture quality when enlarged, but harwere = the lens zooms, but the resolution still remains the same 640*480, but it uses double quadrant pixels, as in megapixels...get it?

Whatever it is, it doesn't increase the quality at all or zoom in. And besides, we 3650 owners can zoom in on a pic anyway (up to 200% / aka 2x digital zoom)
